Bar Termini takes you back to Rome in the 1950´s. A bar inside Rome´s main train station Termini to be precise. Friends, cocktail aficionado Tony Conigliaro, coffee master Marco Arrigo and tattoo-artist Mo Coppoletta, are the brains behind this small (I reckon a capacity of 30 guests standing), but sophisticated cocktail bar in Soho, London.
Bar Termini is an all-day bar and serves proper coffee in the morning to proper cocktails in the evening. The knowledgeable bartenders and waiters serve beautiful and tasty cocktails and brew quality coffee. The menu presents Italian inspired cocktails, with four versions of my favourite drink...the Negroni!
I prefer it the Classico way (£7,-), but please be adventurous. The Negroni drinks selection is pre-made, and is served without ice in a small coupe-style glass. Without ice, so your drink won't dilute and taste the same each sip. Perfect!, and it makes sense too!
Bar food is served to accompany your drinks. Italian ofcourse, like Carpaccio, Burrata...and don't forget the Prosciutto and Salami! The staff is professional in their looks and approach. The white laboratory jackets as uniform is a wink to Tony Conigliaro, who also runs the Drinks Factory, a kind of a research and development cocktail laboratory. A complete Italian bar concept. It has to be I guess, with such legends as founders and recently ending up number 30 in The World's 50 Best Bars 2016 competition.
